About the show:
Co-stars of THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING (WFF in 2014) Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones are reunited in this exhilarating and cinematic period adventure. In late nineteenth-century London, aeronautical entertainer Amilia Wren (Jones) is poised to break the French record for altitude ascended by hot-air balloon. She agrees to fly with burgeoning meteorologist James Glaisher (Redmayne), a pioneer desperate to prove the substance of his weather prediction theories to the pompous Victorian scientific community.

As our two heroes ascend over 30,000 feet amid rapidly thinning air and plummeting temperatures, what began as a breathless adventure becomes an elemental fight for survival as they confronted with ice, thunderstorms and high winds. Tom Harper, who directed last year’s country music cult-hit WILD ROSE, delivers a heartwarming British period adventure, with strong casting and a particularly engaging lead performance of a fictitious female visionary from Felicity Jones.

“Something worth watching on the biggest possible screen.” Tomris Laffly, Variety

“A thrilling, action-packed, wide vista yarn from the sharp quills of Jack Thorne and director Tom Harper…this is indisputably a crowd-pleaser.” Fionnuala Halligan, Screen Daily
