Little Saint Helens Hike
Thursday, July 23rd
Little Saint Helens (use your imagination why this hike got its name) is a delightful hike of 6.5 miles and 1200 feet elevation gain to get to glorious view of Mt Rainer and the surrounding Cascades. Meeting time dependent upon carpooling.
We’ll plan to meet at the trail head at 10:00 am. We can meet at the Issaquah Highlands if you want to carpool at 9:15. Please let trip leader know of your plans.
Trailhead directions: Take I-90 east to exit 47, turn right, then right on Forest Road 55. Turn left on Forest Road 5510, zigzagging up the mountain, avoiding potholes to the trailhead parking lot. You can do this in any vehicle but you will have to drive slowly.
Trip Leader: Julie Byington, jbyington7@comcast.net, 206-755-5987. Rain, snow, crummy weather, call trip leader for hike status.
We still need someone to be the hiking coordinator. I know there are a lot of S’no Jokers out there who love to hike. Your love of hiking and exploring would mean so much to everyone else in the club if you become our hiking coordinator! All the coordinator needs to do is talk to people who want to lead a hike and post ithe S’no Joke website. Your services would be very appreciated! Email sports@snojoke.org if you want to know more about helping out the S'no Joke Ski Club.
Let’s get outside!
