Our accommodations are in the Vail Spa Condominiums, in Vail's Lionshead Village. These are the same accommodations as for the 2018 trip. We have six three-bedroom, three-bathroom and two two-bedroom, two-bathroom condos reserved, all with full kitchens, gas fireplaces, high-speed wireless internet, concierge service, access to indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, an outdoor fire pit, and steam and dry saunas.
We'll fly non-stop Seattle-to-Denver (on Alaska Airlines, is the present plan, but that could change), departing Seatac the morning of Sunday February 13rd, with private motor-coach transfer from the Denver airport to the Vail Spa Condominiums, with a one-hour grocery stop. Coming back it's the reverse, with private motor-coach transfer to the Denver airport, and a non-stop Denver-to-Seattle flight that arrives Seatac the evening of Saturday February 19th.
The Eagle Bahn Gondola is 3 blocks from the Vail Spa Condos. Or across the street from the Vail Spa there's a bus stop for the free In-Town Shuttle Bus that runs every 10 minutes.
In addition to a wine and cheese reception the evening of our arrival, we'll have a catered dinner one evening.
The $1,499 price covers your lodging Sunday night through Friday night at the Vail Spa, roundtrip nonstop Seattle-to-Denver air, private motor coach transfers with a one-hour grocery stop on Sunday, the welcome wine-and-cheese reception, the catered group dinner, and all baggage handling fees, gratuities and taxes. Airline baggage fees are extra, and are 100% your responsibility.
The $1,499 does not include lift tickets. Epic Pass holders will be good-to-go (at Whistler-Blackcomb as well as Vail), or a five-day Epic Day Pass is currently $392 at www.epicpass.com.
For your own private bedroom, the additional single-supplement charge is $1,024. The no-flights deduction is $205.
We won't know the bed configurations of our eight condos until some weeks before our February arrival. Consequently, after the first thirty or so signups, we'll have to be careful when it comes to adding additional people.
To that end, below, as part of the registration process, you will be asked to answer several questions. From your responses, your trip leaders will put your registration into one of three Categories:
1. One of two registrants wanting to share a king bed or a queen bed.
2. One of two registrants willing to share a king bed.
3. One registrant who requires a separate bed.
The number of signups in each Category will, at all times, be limited, by your trip leaders, to one our accommodations will accommodate.
And finally, here's the payment schedule:
Initial payment: $499 due
once the trip leaders have notified you that you have a spot on the trip.
Second payment: $500 due October 8th.
Final payment: $500 due December 7th.
