What is this?
I provide three meals a day starting on Thursday night when most people arrive. That one is usually some hearty soup or casserole which can be eaten at anytime. Friday to Sunday breakfasts are hearty, lunches are pack it for the trail sandwiches, chips, fruit, bar cookie and a Boston's. Friday night is grilled sockeye with potato or noodle casserole, green salad, preceded by veggie platter and a hot chip dip, followed by dessert. Sat is steak with similar embellishments. I DO NOT cater to special dietary needs, and have little to no room for extra food storage. Generally the house is full of SJers and their ski gear.
Everyone gets a plastic water bottle, and we have a filter container for refills
Otherwise, I have some beer, but mostly good white and red wine in sufficient quantity, and sparkling water (coffee, tea and water are house staples)
Basically, I try to have enough so that no one needs to go back to town after dark
