Snojoke Monthly Meeting

Come to S'no Joke's monthly meeting on July 1st and meet the man who might save your life one day!!!

Doug McCall from Seattle Mountain Rescue is coming to speak to us about his dedication, training, expertise, and willingness to rescue people in distress.  I am in awe.  Here is Doug's bio:

Doug McCall currently serves as the Vice President on the board of the National Mountain Rescue Association. Doug served as the Secretary/Treasurer and Member-at-Large for the MRA. He currently the Secretary and board member of Seattle Mountain Rescue and has been a field member since 2008 and has been on over 150 rescues. Doug has also served on other non-profit boards including the Washington Alpine Club (Secretary/Treasurer), Snoqualmie Firefighter's Association (Chairman), Arthritis Foundation, WA Chapter (board member) and the SeaFair Foundation (board member).

Doug began climbing in the Washington Cascades in 1992 and enjoys alpine ascents, mixed climbing, snow shoeing, XC skiing and backcountry skiing.

Doug and another representative from Seattle Mountain Rescue have come to our meetings in the past and I am honored to have him return.

Don't miss this meeting!  Of course, we will talk about what's happening in the club like ski trips, what everyone is doing and just generally being social.

See you Monday, July 1st at the Wilde Rover in Kirkland.  The meeting starts at 6:00 but come early to be more social.

S'no Joke President

Please remember to register for our monthly meetings - this enables us to give the hosting venue an idea of how many servers may be required.

In general, the club meets on the first Monday of the month all year round except for holidays and our large annual meeting in May.
