Musical Theater and Jethro Tull Kick Off the Artsy Portion of Our Summer

Published on 6/11/2018

Our club is not just about being outdoors all the time, we also enjoy the arts. We recently had two fun “in doors” weekend socials…

After meeting up for a nice dinner at the Sand Point Grill, we headed up to the Seattle Musical Theater’s production of You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown. The entire Peanuts cast was made up of actors over 50 years old playing kids again. The dialogue was straight out of the beloved Peanuts cartoons we all remember so well. It was a lively and fun performance.

On Sunday a group of members went to Chateau Ste Michelle to watch Jethro Tull’s 50th Anniversary Tour. While the weather started out quite soggy, we braved the rain, put on our Gore-Tex and were later rewarded with a rainbow and clear skies for the better half of the show. Ian Anderson was fantastic as always and they had a really cool mix of old and new shots of the band coupled with many cameos from other musical artists requesting their favorite Jethro Tull songs. When Aqua Lung finally played, everyone was on their feet dancing.

Stay tuned for more concerts and theater performance socials throughout the summer!
