We will be sailing on Lavengro, a 50 foot classic sailboat moored at the Center for Wooden Boats, at the south end of Lake Union. Lavengro is certified by the US Coast Guard and helmed by a licensed captain.
The trip is 2 hours, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM on Sat July 7th. There is a bathroom aboard, below deck. There will not be food on board as the galley is not equipped for that.
There are several restaurants that are walking distance from the CWB dock. We can have a group dinner post boast ride. Members will pay their own costs for dinner/drinks.
Parking is available along Westlake, and it is free. The Center for Wooden boats is located near MOHAI.
Since I am a CWB member, I can ask the desk personnel to point out where Lavengro is moored. She is hard to miss. She is the biggest boat we have. Crew tip is included in the price of the sail.
I suggest that people dress for the weather; layers are best Sunglasses might be a good idea. Soft soled shoes without heels are recommended.
