Ski Mammoth Mountain, California 2023     

March 19-25, 2023

Please join S’no Joke Ski Club, Tami Roth and Lorrie Tatum on a California Ski Adventure!

 

It’s called “Mammoth” for a reason! Set in the Eastern Sierras, Mammoth is big, but their reputation for fun is even bigger! At 11,053 feet elevation, Mammoth Mountain boasts the highest summit of any California resort. This is a mid-week ski trip and nothing beats the wide open terrain, low crowds, best snow conditions and all the California sunshine you can handle! Terrain ranges from cruisers all the way to “pucker up and hang on!”  Mammoth truly has something for every level of skier.


We will fly into Reno, Nevada, take a 3 hour scenic cruise down HWY 395 (Private Motorcoach) into Mammoth Lakes, California. We will spend 6 nights at the historic Alpenhof Lodge situated in the center of the Village and steps from the Village Gondola, restaurants and shopping. It is also situated on the free transit line that can take you wherever you need to go around town. The Alpenhof Lodge hosts Petra’s Bistro and Wine Bar, and the Clocktower Cellar Pub offering a perfect spot for relaxation and fun after a day of skiing!


The trip includes a hot Breakfast Bar at Toomey’s, where we will also have our Welcome Reception with apps and no host bar, as well as a group dinner.


Package Includes:

  • Round-trip Air on Alaska Airlines from Seattle to Reno
  • Private motor coach to and from Mammoth Mountain
  • 6 nights lodging at the Alpenhof Lodge
  • Buffet breakfast, Welcome Reception, and a group dinner at Toomey’s
  • All taxes, tips, and fees are included.


This trip will be available on the picnic date of July 11th to all members.  Non members can sign up after Aug 12th if space is still available.

You will only register on Club Express, and then Sign-Up and Payment will be made directly to Snow Tours (Travel Agent):

Lift tickets are NOT included.  Mammoth Mountain is one of the Signature Resorts of the IKON PASS (all versions) and gives you unlimited days.

Adult tickets are applicable for ages 23 - 64

Senior tickets are applicable for ages 65 - 79

Seniors 80 years and over ski free

Lift ticket products are subject to a 2% Tourism Assessment Fee, charged at the time of purchase.

** For people coming to join us from the Lake Tahoe trip, you will meet the Private Coach at Reno Airport and continue on to Mammoth.  Your airfare can be arranged by the Tahoe trip, or individually.

Cancellation Policy:
To cancel your reservation, notify the trip leader in writing (email is accepted). You cannot resell or gift your spot on your own, only the trip leader can sell reservations for this trip/event.

You may cancel your reservation and receive a full refund of monies paid until 7 days after making the initial deposit. This grace period, however cannot extend past the final payment due date. When your cancellation is made after the grace period, we will deduct a cancellation fee from your refund. We will also deduct any charges for unrecoverable costs; however the total deductions shall not exceed the total you have paid.

The cancellation fee shall be as follows: When the base package (minimum purchase to be considered a participant in this trip/event) is: * More than $300, the cancellation fee is $50.
* More than $50 but not more than $300, the cancellation fee is $25.
* $50 or less, the cancellation fee is $0.

When you cancel your trip after the 7 day grace period and the trip leader is able to find a replacement, your refund will be equal to your payment minus the cancellation fee and minus any unrecoverable costs. When the cancellation is made 90 days or more before the trip start date, the refund is payable within 30 days of finding a replacement, unless the replacement is not found until after 90 days before the trip start date in which case the refund will be payable no later than 45 days after trip completion. When the cancellation is made less than 90 days before the trip start date, the refund is payable no later than 45 days after the trip completion.

When the trip is changed from what was originally advertised regarding dates, destination, or mode of transportation, or has been re-priced with a substantial increase, you may cancel your reservation and receive a full refund of monies paid.

Any trip spots that are cancelled by the trip’s vendor shall be refunded including all recoverable costs (sums paid to the vendor for services not performed in accordance with the contract between the vendor and the trip leader). These refunds shall be processed not later than 30 days after receiving the funds from the vendor.

This policy shall not be modified unless the modifications are stated in the trip announcement and the confirmation letter.
