YAKIMA RIVER FLOAT on Saturday with camping Friday-Sunday

When:  Saturday 25 August 2018


Where:  Put in at Bighorn Campground and take out at Roza Boat Launch


Meeting Place and Times:

  • First meeting place is the Issaquah Park and Ride at 7:30am to form carpools
  • Second meeting place is at 10:00am at the Bighorn Campground on Canyon Road just pass MP22.This is where you will meet up with Don, your trip leader.
  • Be sure to bring sunscreen, water toys, and BYOB.
  • If camping also bring water, folding chairs, a camp table, and something to grill.


This is very a gentle river rafting float on a Class 0 river (aka a beer float).  Bring your own floating device such as an inflatable kayak or boat, inner tube, multi-person floating island, etc. or you may rent one from our put-in spot at Bighorn.  Note:  Neil and Nancy have extra kayaks if needed.

Optional:  Drive over Friday and camp out at Bighorn.  Don plans on camping Friday and Saturday nights and returning to Seattle on Sunday.   Note:  This campground does not take reservations nor do they have a phone or email so they cannot be contacted.  If you plan on arriving late Friday night, let Don know so campsites can be saved.


Tube Launch:  $2.00

Camping:  $15.00/night

Day Parking Only:  $5.00

Tube Rental:  TBD


Please register on club express so we know how many to expect at the put-in!!!  RAIN CANCELS – those registered will be notified by Thursday night should rain cancel.
